Omnitext is a text and document editor that runs entirely on your device, as a website and as an Android app. It does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no accounts and no servers that receive your content.
Files you open are read and edited entirely on your device. They are never uploaded to any server. When you save, the file is written through your device's own file or share dialog, which you control. The developer never receives your files or their contents.
To keep your work safe between sessions, Omnitext caches the open document and your preferences in your device's local browser storage (IndexedDB and localStorage). This data stays on your device and is never sent anywhere. You can clear it at any time by clearing the app's or browser's storage.
Omnitext contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party components that collect data.
The Android app requests only the INTERNET permission, which the web runtime
requires; it is not used to send your data anywhere, and the app works offline. Saving uses
the standard Android share/save sheet that you control.
Omnitext is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone.
